A cold room for Kejetia tomato sellers

Tomato sellers at Kejetia in Kumasi buy from Techiman in the afternoon and sell through the next morning. Without cold storage, a hot night can spoil half a crate.

The association has a storeroom behind the shed. Fitting a 20-foot cold room, compressor, and backup power is quoted at GHS 185,000. Members have contributed the first GHS 40,000 themselves.
